My older sister, Sandy, gave me her recipe for this wonderful classic soup. Makes you feel like a kid again! It actually takes a little time to make.

Here's how it went....

Wash and gut a whole chicken and cut off any extra fat and fatty skin you see. Next boil the chicken for one hour. Once the chicken is fully cooked, the meat will shred right off.

Next cut all the veggies, with onion, and lots of fresh garlic cloves....

Sauté the veggies with olive oil then add to the soup, this is so you can get a lot of flavor.

Next add water to the large soup pan and add the chicken and egg noodles. Also you can add some of the chicken broth from the boiled chicken. Add as much chicken broth as you like, including from a can or box. Let it cook for about 40 mins until noodles are soft. Boom...chicken noodle soup, just like when you were a kid.

For a sweet snack I also made bacon wrapped sweet potato bites. These were pretty awesome, my boyfriend really enjoyed them!

How to make:

Shave skin completely off potatoes then cut into cubes. Next sauté the cubes in butter over the stove until lightly browned (I added a little brown sugar to them too). Once all browned I wrapped each cube with bacon and secured it with a tooth-pick. Bake for 45 mins then drizzle with Maple Syrup! YUMMY!
